How are the Big Five traits associated with mental health?

Judith is very social and loves hanging out with her friends on the weekend and being the team lead at work. She is often happy and enjoys bright lights and lots of noise. If she is like many extraverts, how are her finances?

Answer to Question 1

Answer: People who score high on extraversion and/or conscientiousness enjoy better mental health than those who score low on agreeableness or high on neuroticism.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Her finances may not be solid. A downside to extraversion is its connection to financial problems such as too much credit card debt. This may occur because extraverts are more focused on financing their social lives than in controlling their spending.
