Answer to Question 1

Answer: A positive correlation is when both variables increases at the same time whereas negative correlation is when one variable increases while the other decreases. An example of positive correlation is studying and good grades. The more someone studies, the higher the grades she will receive. An example of negative correlation is happiness and stress. The more stress someone feels, the less happiness he is likely to experience.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: The type of milk is the independent variable and the level of sleepiness is the dependent variable.

Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.
