Answer to Question 1

The universe began during an expansion event known as the big bang approximately 13.7
billion years ago. During its early phases, the universe was very hot, but over time cooled and
expanded to form hydrogen atoms. Further cooling led to the formation of galaxies, large,
rotating aggregations of stars, dust, and gas held together by gravity. Stars and planets
formed according to the condensation theory and accretion.
