ANS: C
The Marine Mammal Protection Act was passed in 1972. It was a policy that protected not only marine
mammals, but also their food and habitat. Prior to this policy, over 6 million dolphins were needlessly
killed as bycatch when hunting tuna. Information can be found in the section Biological Resources

Wind power production is on the rise. There are many wind farms because the wind cannot be used
