Answer to Question 1

Because everything about computer data is based on binary language and the two possible states of electricity, the numbers associated with computer data are naturally all factors of two. 2X2=4 2X2X2=8 2X2X2X2 = 16 and so on. Two to the tenth power (210) is equal to 1,024 . This is the factor that separates levels of data. This is similar to 1 kilogram equaling 1,000 grams. Similarly, 1 kilobyte equals 1,024 bytes. The levels are basically differentiated at the same 1,000 level, but because computers rely on powers of 2 (binary) instead of powers of 10 (decimal), the number is 1,024 instead of an even 1,000

Answer to Question 2

TRUE
