Answer to Question 1

Adoption as a perfect solution for both biological and receiving families
Giving up a child is not an easy decision
Issues of secrecy around pregnancy and birth
  Adoptive parents ability to conceive
Life cycle tasks similar to biological families, but with some additions such as discussing adoption with their child(ren) and assisting the child in search for an identity

Answer to Question 2

Foster parents: temporary relationship, unknown duration, foster system is challenged, must relate to birth family and agency, prepare for loss of child, dealing with conflict
Grandparents as parents: parenting as an older adult, work on relationship between the biological parent and the child, child may have special needs, to adopt or not to adopt, concern about confusing children about relationships, few resources available to them when arrangement is informal,
Teen parents: family roles are quickly altered, affects many family members, difficult to be self-supporting, concern about the teens positive developmental outcomes, interference with teens education, poverty, parenting skills, little information about teen fathers
