Adults are impolite when speaking with children. Adults discourage children from expressing themselves. Adults are sarcastic to children or make fun of them. Adults label children or talk about the children in front of them. Adults take over most conversations. Adults rely on orders and commands as their primary means of talking to children. Adults use insincere praise. Adults use childrens names to mean No, Stop, or Dont.
