When children are given developmentally appropriate ways to understand bullying, it is reduced and teachers can create ansetting that is safe and developmentally appropriate. Adults can be role models for positive, warm relations and can help children by mediating disputes at any age. Teachers can also take opportunities for talking about bullying, giving children an opportunity to discuss it, and sharing the ideas of empathy, compassion, and caring.
