Answer to Question 2

A medical home is a partnership of the family, the teacher, and a medical practitioner that ensures that all health, psychosocial, and educational needs of a child are met. This partnership unites all people involved to ensure that all health and developmental needs are met. The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests that the medical home should be family centered and culturally effective. Evaluation of a child's development and needed early intervention can be coordinated through the medical home.
