ANSWER: Gathering time (or circle time) may not be the best time for reading stories with children of this age because of differing attention spans and interests. At this age, gathering time should be about coming together as a group to positively interact, not about reading a story from beginning to end.

ANSWER: They can express their emotions through behavior and language. Emotions are recognized through fear, showing excitement, and delight.
