Answer to Question 1

Adults can give appropriate touch and perform authentic self-esteem activities with the child. These involve valuing the child, giving the child sincere recognition, treating the child with respect every day, listening to the child, protecting the child's rights, and nurturing the child by making eye contact and using the child's name at eye level on a daily basis. We must treat the child with respect and see the child as lovable, capable, and worthwhile. We can also ensure that the child's needs are met while making sure the child feels safe and loved
