ANSWER: To recognize the difference between touchable and untouchable animals; if they are not domesticated, the best rule is to leave them alone; do not rescue an animal that does not need help; do not attempt to raise an orphaned animal yourself; put on gloves before you touch an animal in the wild; do not feed or give the animal liquid before finding out its diet because the wrong food or liquid could injure the animal; contact a wildlife rehabilitator immediately.
