Answer to Question 1

Answer: Obsessions are unwanted thoughts, while compulsions are behaviors that the person feels compelled to enact. Compulsive behaviors related to counting, cleaning, checking, and avoidance lead to social isolation, which is somewhat incompatible with marriage.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Depression results in shallow sleep, reduced levels of stages 3 and 4 slow-wave sleep, frequent awakenings, and alterations of REM sleep.
