Answer to Question 1

Answer: C
Rationale: The IV route requires caution because this route is most likely to result in accidental overdose.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: The hypothalamus controls the secretion of oxytocin (which elicits milk letdown) and vasopressin (which regulates kidney urine output) from the posterior pituitary. The hypothalamic neurosecretory cells secrete releasing factors which are carried by a blood system to the anterior pituitary, which in turn causes this portion of the pituitary to secrete additional hormones (e.g., GRH from the hypothalamus causes the secretion of gonadotropic hormones from the anterior pituitary).
