Answer 1

With so many possibilities, students should begin to think about what sector of the industry they would like to enter. Travel offers a greater variety of interesting jobs than most fields. It is perhaps the most fractionalized industry of any size. It has more suppliers and small companies than automotive, technology, health care, agriculture, or other mega-industries. Therefore, opportunity is great. And the chance to jump around within the industry also existsto move from hotels to cruise lines, from destination management to tour operators, or rental car companies to airlines.

Answer 2

CVBs are, among other things, networking organizations. A CVB serves as the umbrella organization for an area's hospitality, travel, and tourism organizations. The opportunity to form partnerships and alliances is key for a bureau to the achieve maximum economic impact in the markets they serve.
