 Definition  ability to control emotion, cognition, and behavior; includes both automatic and controlled responses
 Examples of child with or without ADHD  response could include any sort of task that involves control of behavior such as waiting in line, waiting to cross the street; control of emotions such as calming down after a temper tantrum, getting along with others (siblings, peers), dealing with frustration; and cognitive control such as persisting in a task that is potentially frustrating, following multi-step directions
 Response should include some reflection that all 3-year-old children exhibit some behaviors consistent with ADHD. All behaviors should be considered in terms of what is developmentally expected.
