Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

Based on a disease model, the alcoholic is biologically different from others and cannot control his or her drinking. Although this should remove the person's guilt for having the disease, it does not take away responsibility for managing it through the twelve-step approach. Group support and a buddy (sponsor) system are the main features. It seems to work no better than other treatment approaches.
