Answer to Question 1

Caffeine blocks the brain's receptors for the neurotransmitter or neuromodulator adenosine, which acts on the brain to produce behavioral sedation by inhibiting the release of other neurotransmitters. Blood vessels in the brain are constricted due to caffeine intake. This may be why it is good for headaches.

Answer to Question 2

Tea was the first popular caffeine drink in the U.S. Tea taxes led to the Boston Tea Party, a rejection of tea shipments that helped lead up to the revolution. Americans then began to drink more coffee and less tea. The English drank more tea as a show of support for the crown.

Every flu season is different, and even healthy people can get extremely sick from the flu, as well as spread it to others. The flu season can begin as early as October and last as late as May. Every person over six months of age should get an annual flu vaccine. The vaccine cannot cause you to get influenza, but in some seasons, may not be completely able to prevent you from acquiring influenza due to changes in causative viruses. The viruses in the flu shot are killed—there is no way they can give you the flu. Minor side effects include soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given. It is possible to develop a slight fever, and body aches, but these are simply signs that the body is responding to the vaccine and making itself ready to fight off the influenza virus should you come in contact with it.

Your skin wrinkles if you stay in the bathtub a long time because the outermost layer of skin (which consists of dead keratin) swells when it absorbs water. It is tightly attached to the skin below it, so it compensates for the increased area by wrinkling. This happens to the hands and feet because they have the thickest layer of dead keratin cells.
