A 57-year-old complains that she suddenly experienced chest pain while doing some light gardening. She says the pain feels like someone is standing on her chest. She is sweating profusely, and her skin feels clammy. Her color is pale and she has an irregular radial pulse of 80 per minute and respirations of 18 per minute. You should next:
◦ attach the AED pads.
◦ administer oxygen by nonrebreather mask.
◦ ask her if she takes any medications for her chest pain.
◦ obtain a pulse oximetry reading.
