You are treating a 27-year-old female patient who slipped and fell on a patch of ice. She is conscious and alert, and is almost 9 months pregnant. How best would you immobilize and prepare this patient for transport?
◦ Place the patient on her left side and immobilize on the backboard.
◦ Immobilize the patient using a short immobilization device and transport the patient in a sitting position.
◦ Immobilize the patient supine on the backboard.
