Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

The findings are at least applicable to sororities and college life in the 1970s through the
1990s. Changes in the national economy toward a less expansive condition may be changing
this pattern for the 2000 generations, as there is evidence that today's students may be more
pragmatic and career oriented. The pattern may also not apply to community colleges, or the
general workforce environment, and is probably status and income related. The white college
female experience may be limited to relatively affluent females who could afford the sorority
college experience, whereas lower income black females created a quite different structure
and social environment.
