Answer to Question 1

Answer:
These are the three components of attitudes toward a particular group. Stereotypes represent the cognitive component and are composed of our beliefs about a particular social group. Prejudice is the affective component that encompasses our feelings about a group. Discrimination is the behavioral component of attitudes and includes the different actions directed towards members of different groups.

Answer to Question 2

Answer:
Stereotypes are capable of being changed. Stereotypes about a group might change when our relationship with that group changes. This allows us to develop different notions about the characteristics of that group. Higher-status groups are more likely to hold on to stereotypes about a lower-status group; whereas lower-status groups are more likely to waver in their stereotypes of a higher-status.
