Answer to Question 1

Students' responses should reflect an openness to finding individuals who are
healthy, active (though probably limited in the physical activities they can pursue),
interesting, and involved in life.

Answer to Question 2

Answers will vary but should reflect that the increasing number of elderly in our
society and the advance of gerontology will no doubt produce dramatic changes in
attitudes toward the old and how they are treated.
