Answer to Question 1

Students should advise Monique that her child's appetite will most likely decrease
from when she was younger. Her child may develop rigid, ritualistic behavior
regarding food, such as only accepting a certain few foods and eating foods in a
certain sequence and manner. Answers should show the understanding that
Monique understands the rules children often impose on their eating habits, and
how she can accommodate to them rather than resisting them.

Answer to Question 2

Experience affects the rate of myelination, which speeds thought. Different areas of
the brain become more highly developed and specialized as a result of experience.
Dendrites increase in density and brain activity generally increases. Possible
outcomes of reduced or limited experience on children's development are
developmental delays and learning and memory deficits.
