Answer to Question 1

Answers should show an understanding of phenotypes and what they indicate about
the underlying genotype. Students should show awareness that most of a person's
characteristics are the result of both genetic and environmental influences.

Answer to Question 2

While there is a genetic predisposition to life span, the maximum life span for
humans seems to be around 122 years. In spite of, and in addition to, genes, our
social context and the environment in general contribute to our longevity.
