During and after divorce, mothers often act as gatekeepers for their children. How has this affected post-divorce relationships between fathers and children?

Some mothers act as gatekeepers of their children, but too frequently mothers not only guard the gatethey lock it. A number of recent studies show that many mothers acknowledge that they deny visitation, make it difficult for fathers to see their children, and that they do not intend to share parenting with the father.
