Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

Vygotsky's perspective emphasized the role of the teacher in learning and cognitive development. In the learning activity, the teacher's behavior should be emphasized, such that the teacher's role as model or story teller becomes central. The role of the teacher will also involve introducing and demonstrating the use of the culturally appropriate tools of intellectual adaptation, the ability to engage the child in the zone of proximal development, and the ability to identify the need for and engage in scaffolding. The learner will acquire the knowledge by engaging in activities alongside the teacher, who will instruct and correct the child as the learning and practice is taking place.
