When a desertion occurs, the
 
  (a) courts can only intervene if the whereabouts of the deserting spouse is known.
   (b) state assumes immediate responsibility for the deserted family.
   (c) partner left behind is free to marry once a desertion report is filed with the courts.
   (d) couple is considered divorced.
