Author Question: How important was the role of Hitler from 1928 in explaining why he was made chancellor in January 1933? (Read 1144 times)

I got this question for history homework and I'm kinda stuck on how to answer it :/ help would be appreciated !

Hitler was a very good speaker and had a gift for fascinating his audience. That is why he rose through the ranks of the Third Reich quickly

From 1928 to 1933 the Nazi's became the largest party in the German parliament and were the biggest party overall. The German Chancellor at the time, Paul Von Hindenburg, asked Hitler to form a government in January 1933. The governing elite were certain that they could manipulate the Nazi's and control Hitler. You know how that worked out!!
