Technician A says that the secondary air injection (SAI) system forces air at low pressure into the exhaust to reduce CO and HC exhaust emissions. Technician B says that a check valve is used between the AIR pump and the exhaust manifold to prevent exhaust gases from damaging the AIR pump and valves. Who is right?
