Answer to Question 1

The student should indicate that infertility can be caused by a number of factors. For either sex, too much or too little sex, health problems in the partners, use of vaginal lubricants and sex at the wrong time of the month can all be contributing factors. Problems for men include low quality sperm, blockage in the seminal vesicles or erectile problems. For women, problems include failure to ovulate, hormonal deficiencies, aging, abnormalities of the uterus, blockage of the fallopian tubes and inhospitable environment for sperm.
