Answer: To decrease intensity of a color, the artist can add gray or the opposite color on the color wheel, or add a medium, a liquid that makes paint easier to manipulate.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Newton designed a color wheel to organize colors; the primary colors are red, yellow, and blue.
