Whom did the union seek to represent in one bargaining unit?

Question 2

Read the Direction of Election statement of the Regional Director. Note how it deals with the appropriate bargaining unit and the Board's Comprehensive Rules and Regulations on eligibility to vote. What other important pre-election considerations are dealt with in the decision's footnotes?

Answer to Question 1

The union sought to represent all classifications of service persons, porters, and a one-employee music systems division in one bargaining unit.

Answer to Question 2

In addition to eligibility rules and appropriate bargaining units, note that the footnotes deal with the dates for elections, notice requirements, and the full disclosure to unions of all names and addresses of eligible voters.
