Testicular carcinomas can produce HCG, which is the same hormone made by the placenta during pregnancy.

Answer to Question 2

Healing of the inflammation in the posterior urethra and the vas deferens secondary to a gonorrheal infection can lead to scarring that narrows the urethra and blocks the transport of the sperm, leading to urinary tract obstruction and sterility.
