Answer to Question 1

ANS: B
Blood vessels and platelets are important in primary hemostasis where they play roles in forming the primary hemostatic plug.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A
Blood vessels play a role in constriction of the vessel once it has been damaged. Collagen is located in the subendothelial tissue and is exposed once a vessel is damaged. They also provide other compounds, such as von Willebrand factor (VWF), which is necessary for platelet adhesion.

When blood is deoxygenated and flowing back to the heart through the veins, it is dark reddish-blue in color. Blood in the arteries that is oxygenated and flowing out to the body is bright red. Whereas arterial blood comes out in spurts, venous blood flows.
