Answer to Question 1

ANSWER:
85 of all occupationally acquired HIV is due to needlestick injuries. Most needlestick injuries happen after use but before disposalusually the sharps disposal container is full and the healthcare worker's hand is injured by a needle near the top of the container. Ensuring that the sharps container is available, in reach, and no more than  full before performing a procedure will reduce the risk of exposure.
