What are some issues that might arise from using an open hours method of scheduling in a medical office?

Answer to Question 1

The open hours method of scheduling is based on a first-come, first-served basis. With this system, there may be times when several patients are waiting to be seen, and other times where there are no patients waiting and the providers have unused time.
