Answer to Question 1

A dosimeter badge, in addition to protective garments and limiting unnecessary exposure to x-rays, is required to help protect anyone who comes in contact with x-rays. The effects of radiation are cumulative and the dosimeter badge helps to monitor and track x-ray exposure for those that work with x-rays.

Answer to Question 2

The employees in the medical office can help to maintain the physicianpatient relationship by using good communication skills and by alerting the physician to any issues that may arise. Being professional with patient communication enhances this relationship. Bringing personal problems to work and allowing the patients to hear complaints are examples of how the employees could harm the relationship.
