Answer to Question 1

FALSE

Answer to Question 2

As a population ages, the need for healthcare increases because people tend to need healthcare services more frequently as they get older. A program designed to educate patients about preventive medicine would likely decrease the need for more acute care. This is because preventive medicine tends to decrease the likelihood that a patient will develop acute care needs.
