Answer to Question 1

This also will vary by school/college and program. This question is asked so that the student will know how the pieces of their grade will fit together. For example, some students assume that simply because they attended externship daily with no absences and no complaints made by the site that they automatically will receive an A grade, even though other requirements were not submitted, such as a journal or essay. These students then find out that they have only technically completed 50 percent (for example) of the whole grade. This task is assigned to prevent students from assuming incorrectly how their grades will be determined.

Answer to Question 2

The medical office manager may be called if the building has an alarm activated after hours. This may happen in the event of a fire, flood, or break in. The medical office manager would need to have the contact numbers for local law enforcement, fire department, as well as the physicians or other owners on hand.
