Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 4
Oral contraceptives do not protect against sexually transmitted diseases. The type of oral contraceptive used or inconsistency of dose does not increase risk of STI. By making the vaginal environment less acidic, oral contraceptives can predispose women to infection.

Answer to Question 2

Correct Answer: 2
One risk factor for chlamydial infection is intercourse during adolescence. Groups of teenagers from the local high school would be the target population for this presentation. Older adult males, children and married couples are not in the highest risk group for transmission of STIs.
