Analyzing results is comparable to the evaluation phase of the nursing process. Collecting information is comparable to the implementation phase of the nursing process. Identifying a research question is comparable to the assessment phase of the nursing process.

For both processes goals are set, data is analyzed, results are evaluated, and data is collected for evidence. Determining nursing diagnoses is a part of the nursing process.
