Before assuming that the client has a disorder, the nurse should validate the behavior as normal by someone who understands the culture from which the client comes.
2. An assumption of a disorder should not ever be made.
3. The family might need to be consulted at some point, but to avoid bad feelings, the nurse should check the facts first.
4. The nurse may tell the physician about the suspicion, but it is better to wait for confirmation.
