1. Systemic absorption of various eye medications can have adverse effects. Sympathomimetic drugs can increase blood pressure and cause irregular pulse rates or chest pain. Beta blockers can exacerbate COPD, asthma, and heart failure.

3. Eye medication is not known to affect the endocrine and digestive systems.
4. Eye medication is not known to affect the urinary and reproductive systems.
