1. Normal urine output is only relevant if the client had decreased output, which is not usual for pneumonia.
2. The client with clearing breath sounds is improving. The classic lung assessment for the client with pneumonia is very wet breath sounds as the lungs fill with fluid.
3. The heart rate should slow as the lungs clear.
4. Fingernails are pink with good capillary refill if the client is improving.
