Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 4

In order to reduce the risk of burning the client, it would be best to place a towel or cloth between the client and the device. Covering the appliance or having the client lay on top of it would increase the intensity of the heat, and could result in a burn.

Answer to Question 2

Correct Answer: 4

The unit should be filled with distilled water because nondistilled water could corrode the device, making it malfunction. The water is contained, and does not come in contact with the client, so there is no need to use sterile water or saline.
