Nutritious selection throughout the day, rather than quantity, is more important with this age group. Milk consumption should not exceed 24 to 32 ounces daily. Increasing the amount of milk will only further decrease solid food intake. Supplemental vitamins are important for all children, but they do not increase appetite.
