Answer to Question 1

D
Feedback:
A reactive nonstress test indicates fetal activity, as evidenced by acceleration of the fetal heart rate by at least 15 bpm for at least 15 seconds within a 20-minute recording period. If this does not occur, the test is considered nonreactive. An increase in the fetal heart rate does not indicate variable decelerations. Fetal tachycardia would be noted as a heart rate greater than 160 bpm.

Answer to Question 2

B, C, E
Feedback
Correct Keep all items in the room in the same location and order. Describing how
many steps away something is or the placement of eating utensils on a tray
are both useful tactics. Identify noises for the child because children who
are visually impaired or blind often have difficulty establishing the source
of a noise.
Incorrect Never touch the child without identifying yourself and explaining what
you plan to do. When describing objects or the environment to a child who
is blind or visually impaired, use familiar terms. If the child has been blind
since birth, color has no meaning.

The dogs detected 54 of the 55 lung cancer patients as having cancer, detected 28 of the 31 breast cancer patients, and gave only three false-positive results (detecting cancer in people who didn't have it).
