Answer to Question 1

C
Condoms and withdrawal are methods that can be used without parental knowledge. Teens generally do not want their parents to be aware of their sexual activity. Prescriptions are required for birth control pills, diaphragms, and cervical caps. Also, parental travel to both obtain the prescriptions and get them filled at a pharmacy will often be required. Abstinence-only education is limited in preventing pregnancy.

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback
A Inadequate intake of iron may lead to true anemia.
B When blood volume expansion is more pronounced and occurs earlier than the
increase in red blood cells, the woman will have physiologic anemia, which is
the result of dilution of hemoglobin concentration rather than inadequate
hemoglobin.
C If the woman does not take an adequate amount of iron, true anemia may occur
when the fetus pulls stored iron from the maternal system.
D There is an increased production of erythrocytes during pregnancy.
