Answer to Question 1

A
The nurse should report the absent sucking reflex. The sucking reflex is part of the first period of reactivity in the neonate. Acrocyanosis and temperature of 98F axillary are normal findings. Engorgement of the breasts may be a normal finding as a response to increased estrogen levels.

Answer to Question 2

C
If the women responded osteoporosis, it would indicate that they understood the material covered. Osteoporosis is a common condition in older women. It affects over 44 million Americans; approximately 10 million have osteoporosis and 34 million are at risk with low bone mass. More than 68 of those affected by osteoporosis are women. Postmenopausal osteoporosis occurs most frequently in women aged 50 to 70 years (Jacobs-Kosmin, Hobar, & Shanmugam, 2010; NIH, 2009). Cirrhosis is associated with alcohol abuse and bronchitis is associated with tobacco use and chronic pulmonary disease. Clients with a history of tobacco use, severe allergies, or other chronic lung disease are at risk for COPD.
